D&iQ
During my time at Droga5, I've done several projects for the company's diversity & inclusion program aimed at exposing diverse talent to the industry, as well as educating the company.
D&iq zine
A small group of employees created a zine to provoke conversation around diversity issues within the agency. Our first issue, The Race Issue, launched the morning after the 2016 election and addressed the tangled relationship between politics and race. I created this crossword puzzle that served as the back cover. I also curated the original artwork that was featured in the zine.
ACROSS: 3. Sandra, 5. Akai, 6. Tamir, 8. Eric, 9. Philando, 10. Laquan DOWN: 1. Freddie, 2. Terence, 3. Samuel, 4. Mike, 5. Alton, 7. Aiyana
here are all the black people
As a sponsor of the diversity recruiting event Here Are All The Black People 2016, Droga5 had the opportunity to take out a print ad in the program. We used this ad space to create a postcard that job-seekers could tear out and mail to us (stamp provided). We promised handwritten feedback of their book/resume, and guaranteed eyes on it.
This was the ad taken out in the program that students could tear out and mail.
This was the postcard attendees received in the mail, each filled out by a Droga5 employee.
take our city to work day
Droga5 hatched an initiative to tap into talent from NYC schools and expose them to the industry early. On Take Your Child to Work Day, we brought in our city instead. The following are two films from 2017 and 2016, and hope to continue the day every year.
